DIY Tutorial: How to Rhinestone an iPhone 4 case

Almost everyone on the planet has an iPhone these days, so why not add some style and interest to your everyday companion? Statement jewelry has been very popular as of late, as well as adding a little bling to everyday objects! This do-it-yourself tutorial will show you how to rhinestone an iPhone 4 case in four easy steps.

You will need:

– clear plastic iPhone 4 case (a great case can be found here)

– 86 Swarovski rhinestones, size SS20 (you can order them here. The color used in this tutorial is called Crystal Volcano)

– E6000 Craft Adhesive (which you can find here)

Optional Materials:

– Tweezers

– Toothpicks

– Ruler

– Silver Permanent Marker

If you want to ensure your rhinestones stay in a straight line as you work, feel free to place a ruler on the outside of the case while using a silver permanent marker to draw two lines down the inner sides of the case.  That way, you can follow the line and it will be covered entirely by the stones once you are finished!

Using the tweezers or your hand to hold the rhinestone, apply a small dot of the glue to the back of the stone with a toothpick and gently press it to the top corner on one side of the case.

Continue to glue rhinestones down the side of the case, making two straight rows on each side.

Let the glue dry for 24 hours.

Viola! A simple way to turn an ordinary case into a fun, sparkly accessory!
